Rhynchospora brachychaeta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan west indian beaksedge. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora brachychaeta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Wright pada tahun 1871.
