Rhynchospora capitellata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan brownish beaksedge. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora capitellata diperkenalkan oleh André Michaux pada tahun 1805.
