Rhynchospora careyana merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan broadfruit horned beaksedge. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora careyana diperkenalkan oleh Merritt Lyndon Fernald pada tahun 1918.
