Rhynchospora cephalotes merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora cephalotes diperkenalkan oleh Martin Vahl pada tahun 1805.
