Rhynchospora cubensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kuba hingga Hispaniola. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora cubensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Achille Richard pada tahun 1850.
