Rhynchospora jubata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara (hingga Veracruz). Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora jubata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frederik Michael Liebmann pada tahun 1850.
