Rhynchospora microcephala merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan smallhead beaksedge. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora microcephala diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nathaniel Lord Britton pada tahun 1903.
