Rhynchospora speciosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil tengah. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora speciosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1873.
