Rhynchospora splendens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora splendens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Axel Magnus Lindman pada tahun 1900.
