Ribes maximowiczii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Grossulariaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Gansu timur, Shaanxi timur). Nama ilmiah Ribes maximowiczii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Theodorowicz Batalin pada tahun 1891.
