Richardia grandiflora merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Bolivia dan Argentina timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan largeflower mexican clover. Nama ilmiah Richardia grandiflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Adelbert von Chamisso pada tahun 1840.
