Ricinocarpos trichophorus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia Barat bagian selatan Australia. Nama ilmiah Ricinocarpos trichophorus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1865.
