Rosa foliolosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat bagian tengah hingga Arkansas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan white prairie rose. Nama ilmiah Rosa foliolosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1840.
