Rosa multiflora var. cathayensis merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arunachal Pradesh hingga China tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Rosa multiflora var. cathayensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alfred Rehder pada tahun 1915.
