Rosa roxburghii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Himalaya timur hingga China tengah dan selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan chestnut rose. Nama ilmiah Rosa roxburghii diperkenalkan oleh Leopold Trattinnick pada tahun 1823.
