Rosa sericea var. sericea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau liana dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga China bagian selatan-tengah dan Myanmar.
