Rostellularia peploides merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pakistan hingga India. Nama ilmiah Rostellularia peploides diperkenalkan oleh Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1847.
