Rotala halophila merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Rotala halophila diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joseph Marie Henry Alfred Perrier de la Bâthie pada tahun 1953.
