Rotala mexicana adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Nama ilmiah Rotala mexicana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Diederich Franz Leonhard von Schlechtendal pada tahun 1830.
