Rotala tenuis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah anak benua India. Nama ilmiah Rotala tenuis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Wight pada tahun 1880.
