Rottboellia rottboellioides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Filipina hingga Australia utara dan timur laut. Nama ilmiah Rottboellia rottboellioides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Brown pada tahun 1917.
