Rubus bifrons merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Eropa. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan himalayan berry. Nama ilmiah Rubus bifrons diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Lorenz Chrysanth von Vest pada tahun 1821.
