Rubus corchorifolius merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nepal hingga China (Sichuan barat daya dan Yunnan utara). Nama ilmiah Rubus corchorifolius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1782.
