Rubus cymosus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko tengah dan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Rubus cymosus diperkenalkan oleh Per Axel Rydberg pada tahun 1913.
