Rubus dumetorum merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Eropa barat dan timur-tengah. Nama ilmiah Rubus dumetorum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ernst August Weihe pada tahun 1824.
