Rubus ferus merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Eropa barat laut. Nama ilmiah Rubus ferus diperkenalkan oleh Wilhelm Olbers Focke pada tahun 1914.
