Rubus hadrocarpus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Rubus hadrocarpus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Paul Carpenter Standley pada tahun 1946.
