Rubus pascuus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afrika Selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan chesapeake blackberry. Nama ilmiah Rubus pascuus diperkenalkan oleh Liberty Hyde Bailey pada tahun 1943.
