Rubus piptopetalus merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nansei-shoto hingga Taiwan. Nama ilmiah Rubus piptopetalus diperkenalkan oleh Bunzō Hayata pada tahun 1913.
