Rubus probus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Queensland timur dan timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan queensland raspberry. Nama ilmiah Rubus probus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Liberty Hyde Bailey pada tahun 1923.
