Rubus thomsonii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga Tibet. Nama ilmiah Rubus thomsonii diperkenalkan oleh Wilhelm Olbers Focke pada tahun 1874.
