Rudbeckia heliopsidis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sunfacing coneflower. Nama ilmiah Rudbeckia heliopsidis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Torrey pada tahun 1842.
