Ruellia cearensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur laut. Nama ilmiah Ruellia cearensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Gustav Lindau pada tahun 1914.
