Ruellia cedilloi merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Ruellia cedilloi diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Thennilapuram Parasuraman Ramamoorthy pada tahun 1992.
