Ruellia chartacea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Peru. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan peruvian wild petunia. Nama ilmiah Ruellia chartacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Thomas Anderson pada tahun 1987.
