Ruellia corzoi merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Texas hingga Meksiko timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan corzo's wild petunia. Nama ilmiah Ruellia corzoi diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Benjamin Carroll Tharp pada tahun 1949.
