Ruellia fulgida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika tengah hingga Trinidad-Tobago. Nama ilmiah Ruellia fulgida diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Cranke Andrews pada tahun 1808.
