Ruellia japurensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Ruellia japurensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1847.
