Ruellia kuriensis merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Socotra (Abd al Kuri tengah). Nama ilmiah Ruellia kuriensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Friedrich Karl Max Vierhapper pada tahun 1906.
