Ruellia macrophylla adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara, Venezuela, Kuba, hingga Jamaika. Nama ilmiah Ruellia macrophylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Martin Vahl pada tahun 1791.
