Ruellia nobilis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil barat-tengah dan Paraguay. Nama ilmiah Ruellia nobilis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Spencer Le Marchant Moore pada tahun 1909.
