Ruellia paniculata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko, Brazil, hingga Karibia. Nama ilmiah Ruellia paniculata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
