Ruellia placoidea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Somalia timur laut. Nama ilmiah Ruellia placoidea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alfred Barton Rendle pada tahun 1896.
