Ruellia pterocaulon merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Venezuela utara. Nama ilmiah Ruellia pterocaulon diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Emery Clarence Leonard pada tahun 1953.
