Ruellia pulcherrima adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Ruellia pulcherrima diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Thomas Anderson pada tahun 1882.
