Ruellia repens

Ruellia repens L.

Ruellia repens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China selatan, Semenanjung Malaysia, Taiwan, hingga Filipina. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama plinten, remah, atau sekatan (Jawa). Nama ilmiah Ruellia repens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1767.
