Ruellia sprucei adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela hingga Brazil bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Ruellia sprucei diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Gustav Lindau pada tahun 1897.
