Rumex vesicarius merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Polygonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Macaronesia hingga Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Rumex vesicarius diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
