Russelia coccinea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Russelia coccinea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Richard Wettstein pada tahun 1891.
