Air mancur merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Russelia equisetiformis ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Air mancur juga dikenal dengan sebutan lain yaitu ruselia. Nama ilmiah Russelia equisetiformis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Diederich Franz Leonhard von Schlechtendal pada tahun 1831.
